General Minimum Entry Requirements for Admission
Two principal passes in either of the following subjects: Advanced Mathematics or Chemistry or Biology or Physics or combined Physics-Chemistry or Computer Studies or Computer Science for foreign applicants.
The Bachelor of Science with Education With Biology and Chemistry is designed to prepare competent and professional secondary school teachers with strong theoretical and practical knowledge in Biology and Chemistry. The programme combines in-depth scientific knowledge with educational theory, teaching methodologies, laboratory practice, curriculum development, assessment, classroom management, educational technology, and teaching practice.
Students develop the ability to understand biological systems and chemical processes, conduct scientific experiments, analyse and interpret scientific information, solve problems, and communicate scientific concepts effectively to learners. The programme also develops research, critical-thinking, communication, and professional skills required for teaching and other education- and science-related careers.
